Typhoon Sinlaku

Got up close and personal with Sinlaku.
Apparently, my flight out of Taipei at 2:20pm today was the last confirmed flight. Passengers from the next S'pore bound flight packed into the 2:20pm flight as well.
For a start, i was simply preoccupied with praying for myself to escape from being trapped in a typhoon in a foreign land. But after a while, I stopped in my tracks and started praying for the locals. Broadcasting over the news were farmers desperately trying to salvage their crops before the eye of the storm hits. The papers also reported how meat and vegetable prices will inflate after the typhoon.
Yet another reminder to quit this self-centered attitude of mine :o(

Glad to hear you got out alright. We had a typhoon up the east coast of the US a couple weeks ago. We got a nice rain out of it and a bit of wind, but no damage. I have been through them as a child in Florida, not a lot of fun. Heather
